Police: Parking dispute sparks 3 North Carolina killings
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — A long-running parking dispute between neighbors motivated a man to kill a woman, her newlywed husband and her sister at a quiet condominium complex near the University of North Carolina, police said Wednesday.
A Muslim advocacy organization asked authorities to address speculation — much of it on social media — about possible religious bias in Tuesday’s shooting of the three Muslims.
“We understand the concerns about the possibility that this was hate-motivated, and we will exhaust every lead to determine if that is the case,” Chapel Hill police Chief Chris Blue said in an email.
The couple had graduated from North Carolina State, and one was studying to be a dentist at UNC. The sister was an undergraduate at N.C. State. UNC’s chancellor called it a loss for both campus communities, and the school planned a vigil Wednesday evening. SOURCE

First and foremost; I am NOT an Islamaphobe. To be an Islamaphobe would indicate that I am in fear of Islam and/or its practitioners, I don’t fear Islam and I don’t fear Muslims.
What I fear is an American government that is so tolerant that it allows the formation of Muslim courts in America, courts that judge those that come before them under Sharia law.
What I fear is an American government that is so tolerant that it won’t stand up for American citizens taking up for themselves and their God given rights because they, our government, fears insulting Muslims and being thought of as not being 100% politically correct.
Craig Stephen Hicks may indeed be a cold blooded killer, he may have gunned down his *neighbors*, Deah Shaddy Barakat, 23, of Chapel Hill; Yusor Mohammad, 21, of Chapel Hill; and Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, 19, of Raleigh because of religious disputes OR he may have taken all of the abuse he could take, or was going to take at the hands of these people and their Muslim self-righteousness as they forced their *No God other than Allah* and *convert or die* beliefs on him.
But outrage spread among some American Muslims who viewed the homicides as an outgrowth of anti-Muslim opinions. Many posted social media updates with the hashtags #MuslimLivesMatter and #CallItTerrorism.
“Based on the brutal nature of this crime … the religious attire of two of the victims, and the rising anti-Muslim rhetoric in American society, we urge state and federal law enforcement authorities to quickly address speculation of a possible bias motive in this case,” Nihad Awad, of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said in a statement.
Personally, I find it strange that CAIR is so enraged over this; outraged and blinded by their own hypocrisy as they DEMAND that this be called a HATE CRIME!
I wonder? Were these same Muslims as outraged at the burning death of Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh and the beheading of American Kayla Mueller?
The rising anti-Muslim rhetoric in American society mentioned above is REAL, at least among those of us that don’t have our heads buried in the sand as the U.S. Congress and Senate allow this nation to be taken over by members of Islam and make NO effort to remove Sharia law from our nation.
Muneeb Mustafa, 23, of Cary, said he attended the same Raleigh mosque as Barakat.
“He was a completely genuine guy. Loving, caring, friendly, smart,” Mustafa said. “He was an ideal human being. He was a role model.”
He was a role model? For whom? Islam doesn’t have any room for loving, unless it’s a goat, caring, unless it’s caring how you behead your victim or building your bomb correctly, friendly, with anyone actually, or smart people, at least in their interactions with non-Muslims.
As I said, this commentary is MY opinion, none of it is based on facts, but if my intuition is any indicator we will be seeing more Americans standing up to Muslims in this nation, but I fear we will also see the American government standing up FOR Muslims.
